Everything Changes

A dimly lit room with a large king size bed adorned in red satin like sheets.  A fireplace has a fire flickering in it and fire light spreads around the room.   A small couch sits to the left of the fireplace, with a few chairs around the large bedroom.  The snapping and crackling of the wood, echo's in the silent room.   Pictures around the room of two children, one girl and one boy.

The silhouette of a dark femine figure stirrs in the bed slightly, a slender arm over her head.  Beads of sweat pour down her dark forehead, dark lips not painted purse out.  The fire light flickering off of her silver lip ring, with her soft brow furrowed.   Her dark dreads out of her face with the arm that reaches over her head.

The nightmares still flood her mind, she cries out in her sleep murmuring words barely audible.  Turning over on her side, she extends her arm across her bed.  She recoils because she feels something,  her eyes open quickly but no one is there.  Her breathing rapid and heavy, rolling over she grabs a white cloth robe, slipping it around her.

She walks over to the door of the room, rubbing her forehead "Just go away already, let me have my life.  You are dead."

She wipes the sweat off of her forehead, opening the door to go get a drink and grab her neocom.  She steps into the living room as a cold breeze chills her to her bones.

"MINE, you are mine no one else will have you"

Her bright green eyes go wide and shivers course through her body "NO! I am not yours.  I am for once in my life happy, very happy.  I am not going to let some demon of my past screw that up."

A soft smile creeps across her face thinking of those who matter most to her, giving her strength to persevere through this.

"Little Lit, slave...my sweet delicious succulent..."

She stops cries out "GET OUT, you are dead get out of my head"  She walks into the kitchen and starts to make herself a pot of coffee.

She thinks those at that she loves.  With a small smile on her face she whispers to herself "I love you."

Finally she is able to grab herself a cup of coffee, she walks over to the dining room table waiting for the children to wake up as they had a busy day ahead of them.  She starts flipping through her messages.  She reads through one with a bright smile.

She realizes she has a FCORD message, her brows furrowed  as she reads through it.  She stands up getting ready to make sure the kids are up, her ears perk up as she hears them stirring.  She reads further into the message, not noticing the kids coming out of their rooms.

The cup of hot coffee falls to the ground and shatters. her eyes filled with a mix of different emotions.  Barely a whisper "No,....gods no....no...it cant be...."

Duncan the sleepy head teenager comes over to his sister obviously concerned.  Amitel still toddling like any child. "Whats wrong sis?"

She looks at Duncan with the turmoil that rages in her from this news "Citizen Arson."

Duncan's eyes go wide knowing the brief bits his sister has told him "Its okay Lit, talk to well,.talk to who you need to. "

She bends down trying to keep her head down, cleaning up the broken coffee cup as the emotions swirl in her "Citizen Arson...its all changed now."
