Too many nights with little sleep. Perhaps emotions are clouding her judgement but what she saw today upset her greatly with little to no power to do anything about it. People she that she counted as friends and even closer all they could do was tell her when then news came out is that there is nothing they can do publicly. So where is she now, alone, isolated. No one with her, no one around her to see the torment and torture in her eyes. No one to tell her that it would be alright, or to kiss her head and tuck her into bed. She hasn't been sleeping since this began and if she did it has been all nightmares back to her childhood.
No, it was not enough, she wasn't enough. There wasn't enough Matari capsuleers to stave them off. People are being forced into slavery and all she could do is standby and do nothing. She has hired and put almost 15,000 soldiers on the ground with her mark and it still isn't enough to protect them.
She feels like she is losing everyone in this conflict, friends, lovers, everyone she feels like they are abandoning her. She looks around and realizes how alone she is, she slips on her jacket with the symbol on it.
